On p. 343, Fig. 8, B and C, some indicators of statistical significance were incorrectly placed. There was no significant difference between the values for Ang-(1-7) vs. Ang-(1-7)+PD 98059 in B or between the values for Ang-(1-7) vs. Ang-(1-7)+SP 600125 in C. Rather, the indicated P values should have referred to the difference between control (C) vs. Ang-(1-7)+PD 98059 in B (P < 0.02) and the values for control vs. Ang-(1-7)+SP 600125 in C (P <0.03). The correct version of Fig. 8 and the legend appear below.

Fig. 8. Inhibition of p38 MAP kinase blocks Ang-(1-7)-stimulated release of AA. A: bar graph showing the effect of the p38 MAP kinase inhibitor SB 202190 (10–5 M) on Ang-(1-7) (10–7 M)-stimulated release of AA. P values are indicated; n = 8. B: bar graph depicting the effect of the ERK inhibitor PD 98059 (10–5 M) on Ang-(1-7) (10–7 M)-stimulated AA release; n = 5. C: bar graph depicting the effect of the JNK inhibitor SP 600125 (10–5 M) on Ang-(1-7) (10–7 M)-stimulated AA release. P values are indicated; n = 5.
